John was the son of John Pringle and Elizabeth Halliday and was Baptised on the 17th September 1885 at St. Michaels Church, Hetton Lyons, Co. Durham. As a teenager John moved to Ashington in Northumberland. John Pringle Married Jane Smith Kilburn and lived in Ashington, Northumberland, England where their two children were born. John had five brothers William : Benjamin : Frank : Charles Thomas and James and three sisters Jane Robson : Sarah Elizabeth and Janet
