Mary Purves was the daughter of Thomas Purves and Mary Stewart she was born in Newland Rig, Borthwick, Midlothian, Scotland and died in Pathhead, Crichton, Midlothian, Scotland of chronic inflammation of the bladder. Mary had three brothers John : William : Thomas and three sisters Helen : Ann and Marion
