Thomas was born on the 15th of December 1854 in Lauder, Berwickshire, Scotland to John Purves and Janet Pringle . He died in Scotland 1st Sept 1856. Thomas had four sisters Margaret : Mary Stewart : Janet and Marion and two brothers John Pringle and William Alexander
